DID YOU KNOW:
...That nearly every day we hear of another automotive company planing to go fully electric and be totally out of the internal combustion engine business by no later than 2030, some as soon as 2025? What’s odd is that just a couple years ago, this electric vehicle business was mostly underground and not really in the public eye. Oh, there were occasionally news piece or a press release about one of the manufacturers developing something, but now fully electric vehicles are a daily topic.
...That the debate over if America has enough electric power to charge what will seemingly be millions of electric vehicles each night continues with both the
“pro” and “con” feelings being just as strongly about the topic? Six months ago, we came down on the “con” side, supported by the likes of Elon Musk and the new President of Toyota Motors, both of whom (along with a lot of industry leaders) felt the U.S. lacked the power that would be needed. Then, recently we read that others in the power and automotive business feel just as strongly that we do have the infrastructure to develop the power that will be required. At this point, we throw up our hands and wait to see. We’re hoping this goes better than the recent disaster in Texas just went.
