BRONCO Bags BIG Bucks at BARRETT-JACKSON

DID YOU KNOW:

...That the very first Ford Bronco, yep...serial number 001, just sold at Barrett-Jackson for 1 million dollars? I knew that it takes that much money to restore one, having paid a company seemingly that much to ground-up renew a 1978 version (kidding, it wasn’t that bad). Just a few days before the Bronco sale, Ford Motor Company's original Turbine powered semi-truck and trailer as prepared for the 1964 World’s Fair in New York (at which time the Mustang was introduced), has been found and is in very well preserved condition.

...That apparently someone in the design department of BMW has taken a bad fall and hit their head and it’s effecting the new designs at the company? The world-famous BMW kidney bean grille has been reshaped and enlarged enough to be a cartoon and is now showing up on several new models. The effect destroys the original longstanding brand face and we think it looks awful. Hey Bimmer, it’s so ugly it’s going to scar off all those late 20-somethings who buy so many of your cars.

...That on June 11th, 1955, the worst motorsport crash in history happened at the famed Le Mans circuit in France. In total, 80 people died as result of the highly advanced Mercedes 300SLR race car of Pierre Levegh being launched into the front straight spectator stands when it ran up the back end of a slower moving car leaving the pits. Flipping end-over-end, the Mercedes not only crushed people but caught fire as it spread burning gasoline along its disastrous path. Levegh was also killed in the crash. That crash forever changed how race tracks, the cars, and the spectators are are spaced.
