DID YOU KNOW:
...That the all new 2021 Bronco Sport has hit dealer lots, but no sooner than it does...it's sold?! This new version is the compact size SUV, with the larger four-door due last summer. The off-road SUV wars are about to heat up again with the new Ford Bronco and the new Jeep Grand Cherokee due out about the same time later this year. Both brands are bragging about off-road capability and interior space.
...That you’ll likely regret losing or tossing out any of your (or your kid’s) Hot Wheels? The values for older models have skyrocketed as collectors continue to search and pay big prices for such little vehicles. Two known prototype VW Bus “surfer vans” have an estimated value of $150,000! Before you start digging around your backyard looking for any Hot Wheels you may have buried as a kid, know beforehand not all Hot Wheels are worth $150-large, but that a lot of early toys are pulling good money. "Automotive Did You Know" plans to have Hot Wheels designers on the show in the coming months.
Most people know that Carroll Shelby has a historical relationship with Ford Motor Company, but during a gap in product development and racing with Ford Shelby also worked with Chrysler and Oldsmobile? Both those relationships, though short, produced a few seriously valuable performance cars. One of those, the Shelby Viper GTS/CS prototype, is headed to auction and likely to pull over a million dollars.
...That rumors about the continuing (or not) lifespan of the Chevy Camaro is still rich with misinformation that GM appears not interested in clearing up? We believe the current Camaro will remain largely unchanged before the lack of sales finally kills it. There’s not enough money at GM to justify in investing in a whole new model and both Chrysler and GM believe that the “Sport Coupe” market is slowly nearing its end. Perhaps less convinced of that is Ford, where rumors persist that a next-gen Mustang is coming in 2022 — fingers crossed.
