The Revolution Continues: ICE-to-EV Converter Kits!

DID YOU KNOW:

...That it’s official: Hot Rodders and ICE-to-Electric converters can now be purchased factory direct from both Ford and gm? GM has had a pallet electric program for a while, and now Ford is just starting theirs. We suspect both these programs will gain momentum up to and including hot-up parts not long from now. Ford is calling their pallet electric motor program Eluminator; interesting to be sure, but both these programs speak volumes to how real the electric vehicle reality is.

...That “Supercars” have become almost common these days? A recent trip to Monterey, California for the Historic Car Week and Races at Laguna Seca proved to us that are way too many Supercars...they're losing their designation as unique and interesting. For one thing they all look nearly the same, forcing the manufacturers to add a lot of stupid "aero junk" to the overall shape in a desperate effort to stand out. In our view, it’s time for something different for the wealthy to spend their excess money on.

...That the “New Normal” will have a big effect on how new car dealers go about serving consumers? The days of huge inventories are over. Some dealers used to stock as many as 800 vehicles at a time; moving forward, that habit is gone. It had been done to cover every consumer desire for color, powertrain, make and model, but it no longer makes sense to carry that kind of loan burden on part of the dealer. Custom ordering is the new deal: customers may want something different than what the dealer has in stock, so off to the order desk. Turnaround times will be much faster than in days past as manufacturers understand the new reality and the need to respond quickly to new orders. Americans aren’t used to having to “order” a vehicle and wait for it to arrive, but folks it's going to become far more common.
