DID YOU KNOW:

...That the term “Synthetic FUEL” is going to see a serious reintroduction? Mainly this will be by Porsche, under the guise that it burns so clean that it lowers tailpipe emissions on conventional internal combustion engines (ICE). Porsche is the new frontrunner for synthetic fuel, but that will also include Audi and VW very quickly and there appears to be a believers group facing in behind it.

Key point: Synthetic fuel is not new; it’s been tried before dating all the way back to WWII. Porsche, to a point, is trying to put a fresh spin on it, but at its roots it’s not new. Porsche is so sold on the idea that they even plan to race with it to prove that it’s clean and still powerful, a concern some have posted. Bottom line is this: if it remains powerful enough for today’s performance cars, doesn’t hurt internal components, and if it really does lower emissions, then it just might take. However be warned it has a large camp of non-believers and even haters. As we learn more we will keep you posted.
