Slowly Returning to NORMAL...Somewhat...

DID YOU KNOW:

...Ford confirmed that their best selling SUV, the Explorer, will become available as a full electric version soon? Ford will continue to develop other platforms in the line-up to full electric vehicles.

...That with the return to nearly normal life following the COVID-19 invasion, Auto Shows are returning? It will be interesting to see how much they may change but the goals remain the same: let the general public walk around, get in and look over the latest automotive offerings. Let the shows begin!

...That the rental car market has been hit even harder than the used car market in terms of available vehicles? Turns out during the pandemic, most rental car companies sold off their vehicle inventories and are now facing the same purchasing challenges as the rest of us. Seems the microchip shortage has made new car buying life hard for everybody. We even heard that in Hawaii people are renting U-Haul moving trucks...Good luck with those on The Road to Hana.

...That lumber mills, the folks who turn trees into useable lumber, are the making the BIG BUCKS following pandemic? With lumber at the retail level now up over 300%, most of us were sure it was the stores making all money: turns out NOT. It all comes down to one pinch point and that’s the mills. The impact has added $36,000 in additional costs to build a new home. The three major mill groups are seeing profits up over 600%! In short they’re taking a huge advantage of the American public.
