No Rental Cars?...NO Problem!

DID YOU KNOW:

...That an engineer who worked for Volvo by the name of Nils Bohlin invented the three-point seat belt? Volvo owned the patent and they decided to open it up to all automotive manufacturers for free. They believed that saving lives was more important than profit. Well done, though we should add that’s when Volvo was in Sweden; unlikely we’d see that same spirit today.

...That with rental cars in short supply, to the rescue comes...U-Haul? Tourists are finding that though their favorite rental car company might not have a vehicle for them, U-Haul always does. Granted you may be driving a box-van with "U-Haul" written in huge letters on the side, but at least you have transportation.

...That the Canadian Formula One Grand Prix has been cancelled? This is because the government mandated quarantine period for international travels would make it impossible for the drivers and teams to wait in-country that long. Amazing how this COVID-19 continues to alter our lives.

...That despite its lack of much public appearance, Fuel Cell technology as a form of making power for electric vehicles continues under development? Still seen as viable compared to plug-in power, the large trucking industry holds out hope for it. To date (at least as it applies to California), there are fewer than 60 fuel cell filling stations: not nearly enough to supply a large sales growth. It’s fair to say that the jury is still very much “out” when it comes to fuel cell powered vehicles.
