DID YOU KNOW:
...That for a while there we were a critical of Ford Motor Company’s apparent lack of commitment to electric power vehicles? Well, that was 15 years ago; now Ford is considered to be a front runner in bringing electric vehicles to market. GM is also proving to be a strong player. How odd, considering that Toyota used to own this market on the face of it, but they seem to be losing some traction in a market they held pretty much all to themselves.
...On one hand you have to give it to California? They’ve mastered the art of removing employment, taxes and industry from their state. Edelbrock (yet another legend of industry worth 270 jobs), world famous intake manifold and carburetor manufacturer, is leaving California, or as they say in Cali, “ another one bites the dust”. This doesn’t seem to trouble those living on taxpayer jobs but it sure hurts those who have homes losing value and taxes going up.
...First responders are having to learn a whole new approach to dealing with electric vehicle accidents as fire has become a bigger issue? Incident training has become a hot new topic for those forced to deal crash sites in the course of their rescue efforts.
...CarMax, Zoom, and others in the used car selling business are finding customers more often disappointed not with a vehicle, but rather with the fact that upon delivery, they know nothing about about how to operate it? Cars of the 50s, 60s and 70s were very straightforward: Turn key, start car, turn on radio make music. Sorry folks, but the game, or more simply, operating a vehicle requires a lot more understanding on how to use it. This information gap is huge, very concerning, and a big challenge to solve. It’s the one big downside to buying a used for a non-manufacturer related dealer.
