DID YOU KNOW:
...Honda has said “no way” to a Hydrogen future? As Honda works towards a zero-emissions future, it perceives hydrogen as a specialty fuel/electric system: not for mass produced cars. Toyota continues to stick with hydrogen as a viable mass production approach, which, considering that California had signed $100 milion contract for 80 more hydrogen stations for the one and only model of car that uses it — Toyota.
...Tesla has serious issues and they haven’t even shown any interest in addressing them? Elon Musk had best put his expensive toys away and direct his focus on the matter at hand: his electric cars are gaining a terrible reputation. Even when working perfectly, their interiors are considered the worst in the market, appearing to be cheaper in both design and materials...but worse his cars are killing people. Their customer communication and follow-up is awful at best and cars are being delivered even missing brakes pads. We have to question who’s in charge of product quality. Be warned Elon, once you lose the public trust, it will cost billions more to win them back...if ever.
...OVC has joined Automotive Did You Know as a sponsor and supporter? It’s not a new relationship; we’ve been helping develop their continuation Shelby GT350Rs by track testing every customer car before delivery. They are a group of very talented techs, some of whom help build the original Shelbys back in 1965, hence the name: Original Venice Crew. When the GT350R's (R for “racing” model) were first built, the work was done at the Shelby American facility in Venice California before their move to LAX into two huge aviation hangers. Having worked with both the development and the racing team, these guys know these cars inside and out. With values of these headed out of sight, it’s fun (not to mention, an honor) to work with such a great group of people.
