I often speak of the days when sports car drivers would flash headlights or give a thumbs up to another sports car driver they past along the way. Today that trend is gone. It's kind of sad, because it used to mean “Hey, you’re a sports car fan too!”
However, the world moves much faster now. In all fairness, there are a lot more “sports cars” on the road...Not to mention highway speeds are much higher now and the classic wave or headlight flash might be a distraction drivers don’t want to risk or take the time for.
