DID YOU KNOW:
...That there really are some good car dealers? Not all, that’s for sure and it really disappoints me that a lot of the “quick buck,” “screw ‘em to the fence" types are still in business. As much as we like to research vehicles online, we’ve learned that we have to research dealers just as much.
On so many levels, it seems wrong that in a business that relies so much on trust and good faith, some dealers would be so short-sighted as to worry more about getting every last dollar out of customer rather than think long-term by promoting and building a long lasting relationship with them.
I’ve been buying cars from Ford Country for nearly ten years, though I’m a bit shy to admit how many. I can’t help it; I like new cars and trucks! Anyway, I thought I knew this dealer pretty well, having always been happy with the sales and service departments.
In the last three months, however, they have been the main sponsor of my new YouTube series (soon-to-be podcast/radio show): Automotive Did You Know. During this time, I’ve gained so much more insight into this store. I’ve been allowed to attend management meetings, sales meetings, and even been allowed to teach a couple of automotive tech classes there. What a great staff, and the internal desire to please the customer is shocking. They really invest in the long-term relationship.
I’m no fool (not most days, at least), there are always the few customers you just can’t please. We’ve all seen it in a lot of different businesses and restaurants. It’s sad that some people are so out for themselves that they try to do to others what they would hate to have done to them.
I know I shouldn't brag about a sponsor, but when i find good people, good products and any good dealer...I’m going to share that with my followers; it’s my job.
