TIRES AND SHOCKS...not much glamour, but they play a key role in your vehicle's stability.

Given that they wear out slowly, consumers usually don’t notice how badly their vehicle’s tires and shocks need to be replaced. That’s a shame, because these two unloved components play such a major role in the vehicle’s handling, stability and ride quality.  Sadly, this isn’t where the neglect ends. Once the vehicle’s owner becomes aware of the need, they most often become “price shoppers.” Understandable, but this is usually not the best route to take. The tires and shocks that come standard on a new vehicle are the conclusion of months of engineering for performance, compatibility, and durability. The vehicle’s handling has been determined to work best with these components working together to a certain engineering delta.

However, if the owner has different goals for performance, load, road conditions, or targets for the vehicle as applied to the mass market, they will generally buy a more expensive tire or shock to operate in the more extreme conditions. Most consumers don’t usually notice these key components wearing out, but they’re always surprised how “renewed” their vehicle rides and handles once new tires and shocks are installed.

LAST TIP: Always have you vehicle aligned when you replace your tires. One huge advantage of having your band’s dealer doing the service is they will inspect all the key points of wear and give you a written report.
