DID YOU KNOW:
...That on the heels of “Dieselgate,” Volkswagen has continued to develop and improve their four-cylinder diesel fueled engines? Given that several VW executives are in prison and have had to pay billions in fines to the EPA (wonder where that money has gone?), VW continues to offer diesel power plants in the UK, albeit with the newly developed paraffin diesel fuel. However market demand, which used to be 50% of all VW sells is now down to just 7% currently. VW has committed to going purely electric power by 2030, so the reduced sales of diesel comes as no surprise.
...That it seems the “Old Ways of doing things” are still inventive and useful? Turns out there’s been a new development in the design of sails which are now being added to cargo ships to help improve the water speed and lower their fuel consumption. A sail called Airwing is now being deployed in groups of three in front of ships and is rapidly gaining attention with the entire cargo shipping industry. Looking more like a current parachute than old-style coat sail, Airwing is proving to be very effective and easy to manage. Some experts expect that Airwings could become standard on most the current fleets.
